In 2010, we started PRATIGYA with a demo session showing the students what goes into making of a basic robot. That was followed by presentations tracing the growth of technology over the years, the threat unchecked use of technology and industrialization pose to the Earth. We highlighted the need for conserving water and being responsible humans.
Last year we took PRATIGYA to a different level by conducting hands-on workshops. We also conducted presentations on “How cool is Engineering”, “How Stuff Works”, “How it’s made”, followed by a “Did you know” session. We also talked about Global Warming - one of the greatest environmental concerns.
Only two years have passed since PRATIGYA started, but our journey has been a fruitful one .The response PRATIGYA received from various schools has been overwhelming. Over the past two years we have covered 40 schools. Some of them are as follows:
Arya Vidya Mandir, Greenlawns High School, JB Vaccha, Kendriya Vidhyalay, St.Gregorios, Lilavati Poddar, Children Academy, Don Bosco, Fr. Agnel, King George.
We have even visited three NGOs - Aakanksha, Ma Niketan and Marathi Vidyan Parishad.
PRATIGYA was lauded by leading newspapers and has become a media phenomenon in itself.
