Introduction

Ever dreamt of being Nadal or Mirza? Or desired to play tennis but can’t since you’ve got the brains but not the brawn?

Well, maybe sports are not the thing for you but we’ve got you an option which is as close to any sport you can get. Put on your thinking caps and let your robots do what you have always wished. Come, this Techno, we give you the opportunity to build a manually controlled robot tennis player.

Task:

This competition is similar to Tennis. The robot can be remote controlled. It should be able to collect balls and project it to the   other side of the net. The one to transfer maximum balls in the given time is adjudged the winner.

Prizes worth INR 6500 to be won.

Gameplay

Round 1:

A definite period of time will be allotted to complete the task.

The bot has to collect the balls from the base of the arena and put them in to the target provided above the track.

Points will be calculated as:

20 x (No. of balls collected in the target) + 5 x (No. of balls collected outside the target)

Round 2:

In the finals, two teams will have to face each other.

A definite period of time will be given to both the contestants.

TT balls will be provided and teams are required to throw the ball in the opposite half as quickly as possible .

If a ball is transferred and it goes in the respective target, then bonus points will be given to the team.

The player who gains maximum number of points will be the winner.

The organizers reserve all rights to change any of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any, will be indicated on the website. In case of any discrepancies, decision of the judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.
