PROBLEM STATEMENT: Construct a model of a Dam with Styrofoam so as to allow discharge of water through it. MATERIAL PROVIDED: 1. Styrofoam (24 mm thick, Area to be specified) 2. Cutter 3. Sealant SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Model must be placed in channel, whose 3 surfaces are of plywood. 2. Model must have an opening of size 4.8 cm x 4.8 cm to allow passage of water. 3. Model must be sufficiently leak-proof. JUDGING CRITERIA: 1. Model shall be tested for Stability during discharge for a limited amount of time. 2. In the aforementioned limited time interval, model must allow for fairly constant value of discharge. 3.
