Build an abstract structure using irregularly cut pieces of Mountboard and assemble them (without using glue) as if you’re completing a jigsaw puzzle. Construct your own building while others watch and marvel as you shape it. Just one criterion – stability something that is implicit to every structural design! There is no registration fees. Construct a structure with interlocking Mountboard pieces in such a way that it can carry the maximum load. MATERIAL PROVIDED: 1. Mountboard (4 pieces, size 72 cm x 48 cm, 2 mm thick) 2. Cutters SPECIFICATIONS: 1. There must be FIVE Decks (for loading). 2. The structure comprising 5 decks is to be grooved in a sixth deck of Mountboard of size 30 cm x 26 cm which will be held in a sloping position on an arena which will be provided for. 3. Minimum floor height (distance between 2 Decks) must be 13 cm & must be kept the same throughout the structure. 4. Minimum height of the structure must be 66 cm. 5. Participants can decide appropriate shape for each floor with minimum central area of 100 sq. cm. for loading purpose. 6. At least one face of each level must be kept open as an entrance for placing the load. 7. Centralized loading will be done on each floor level. 1. Participants will specify how much load is to be placed on every level, loading progressing from level 1 to 5. 2. Points will be calculated by using the formula - LOAD (kg) X LEVEL HEIGHT (cm) 3. Failure of single member is considered as failure of whole structure. 4. Deformation of members is allowed. *The decision of the judges is final and binding on all.
